Rosalind Chik is the founder of street food outlet Smokin' Lotus which was recently named as amongst the best in London by Time Out.
Rosalind’s cooking stems from a deep sense of curiosity. As a child she was fascinated by the food markets in Yunnan, China. She would spend countless hours totally immersed in watching her mum prepare dinner, and helping her dad BBQ or make dumplings. Rosalind’s inspiration comes from some seriously diverse influences: her mixed family background, her childhood in China, California and England, and countless months she spent backpacking around Asia.
As a result, Rosalind’s Bite Club menu offers a unique take on Asian BBQ. There is a particular focus on her expertise in succulent cuts of meat which are slow smoked for hours, accompanied by vibrant Asian sauces and served with fragrant side salads, spiked with herbs and citrus fruits.
